Peapodbaby-2 years old already!

Peapodbaby were 2 years old in April 2018 and we can’t believe how the time has flown – but they do say time goes quickly when you’re enjoying yourself. So here’s what weve been up to so far –

Our pregnancy massage is a popular choice for many expecting mums and also a great gift idea. (vouchers available) Having completed additional training Jane can now include  aromatherapy essential oils as part of our holistic pregnancy massage treatment.  Aromatherapy and the use of essential oils can be extremely beneficial during pregnancy, however it is important that they are used responsibly in order to reduce the potential for any adverse effects from these wonderfully natural products and we only use essential oils that are recommended for use in pregnancy. We offer pregnancy massage from 12 weeks to birth and up to 6 weeks postnatal. Its a great way to relax, de-stress and relieve those aches and pains. Just contact us if you’d like to give it a go.

Our antenatal classes are also beginning to get a bit more established and are now being held in the beautiful Butterfly Café in Dundee. These are small, very relaxed classes and no topic is off limits. We’ve had great feedback so far and hope to build on this. The best bit though is our reunion when babies come too! We’ve also managed to get our hands on a baby box and we now bring this along in week 4 and include a babywearing demo (using the stretchy wrap from the box) as part of our antenatal classes.  Try the Butterfly café its a lovely venue in Commercial street and is geared up for parents and babies/children. It has lots of toys and a play room too.

Baby massage is a popular class. All of our classes continue to have small numbers and these generally tend to fill up fast but we like that they are small and a bit more personal so for now you just have to get in there fast. We do hope to add some more classes in the future but there just aren’t enough days in the week at the moment. Not rushing anyone out the door helps too and cake also helps!

Our baby yoga class has developed and has become our “Happy Baby” classes which are now a mix of baby yoga and baby sensory.  This class started in The Millenium hall but after a short break has moved to Denoon Terrace which seems to be more appealing to our mums so again this one is just beginning to get established.

Baby Signing has been on our menu from the beginning and Pam’s classes are always busy. This is a great fun class and Pam is always thinking up new fun ways to teach the different signs. Rennel Road hall is a lovely venue, it’s modern, bright and has great amenities and good car parking too.

Our new class Rhythm, Rhyme and Storytime has really taken off! we have been fully booked for every course with the majority of mums and babies coming back several times. So looks like we must be doing something right! This is a fun class again at Rennel Road.

In addition to all of our courses we have being holding monthly themed pop-up at the Butterfly café. We have had a Ceilidh, Christmas, valentines day, mothers day, Easter bunny and teddy bear picnic so far and everyone of these has been a great success. We have had an absolute hoot in doing them been involved.

This year we are adding in 1 year Birthday parties and private sessions for nurseries, parent groups etc so we will see where that takes us in year three………..
